Interior Fitout
Particular attention was given to the arrival experience, with the front desk identified as a central feature of the space. Rather than replacing it entirely, the existing desk was repurposed and upgraded, balancing cost-efficiency with a refined aesthetic outcome. This approach also contributed to a more sustainable design process by minimising unnecessary waste.
In addition to leading the design, I acted as project manager on behalf of the clients, coordinating closely with the main contractor and sub-trades throughout the construction phase. This included overseeing programme delivery, resolving on-site queries, and ensuring the design intent was carried through to completion. Finishes and material selections were carefully curated to reflect the brand identity, introducing a palette of light, natural tones and textures to create a fresh, airy atmosphere. The result is a cohesive and inviting clinical space that supports practitioner wellbeing while reinforcing a positive, empowering experience for every patient who walks through the door.
The design was strongly guided by the values of the practice—creating a warm, inclusive, and judgment-free environment where patients feel seen, heard, and supported. Spatial planning and material selection were carefully considered to foster a sense of calm and approachability, moving away from a clinical or institutional feel. The layout supports both privacy and openness, allowing for comfortable patient interactions while accommodating families and children. This was particularly important in reflecting the practice’s neurologically-focused approach to care, ensuring the environment feels safe, welcoming, and responsive to a wide range of sensory and health needs.
